Memories

Lately I have been remembering times from my youth--mostly about hanging out at Grandma's house and things that went on there. It's probably because I'll be moving back there soon. Some of the fun (and some not so fun at the time, but now I look back with a smile) are:

-Popcorn and the Wonderful World of Disney on Sundays
-Kickball with the rhubarb bush as the pitcher's mound
-Climbing Anderson's tree and then throwing popscicle sticks at the kids at the bottom
-Sledding on the mountain
-Having car troubles after sledding on mountain (how many transmissions were blown?)
-Grandma reading scriptures at the table
-Grandpa flooding the yard with well water
-Grandma's "If you play rough, you'll get hurt rough"
-The boys making me cry every Sunday (Adrin once told me it was a goal of theirs)
-Candy letters to missionaries
-Rubbing our feet on the "new" carpet to get staticky, holding hands, and seeing if we could shock down the line
-Christmas Eve traditions

Anyhow, just some good memories to keep me company lately. Let me know what you remember.

Senioritis

It hit me this week...I am graduting in a month! Okay, so i still have one class to take up through August, but still. This has been a long time coming and I can't believe that it's here. I figure since it's taken me so long to get here that my BAD case of senioritis is normal. I'm getting to the point that I don't care much about studying. Not good. I'm looking forward to my year "off" before grad school. I think if I went right into it, I would not be a good student at all. I catch myself during class thinking about playing with my nieces and what I will do with them when I get home. I can't wait to be able to see them more than a few times a year. Of course they will probably be glad to see me go next year when I leave, but I will love my time with them.

A living volcano

So, I have been a living volcano lately. Inside my stomach is rumbling and ready to blow, but nothing has happened. As you can guess, I have the stomach flu. I wish, to a point, that I would erupt. I think that would make things much better. Unfortunately, it's not that kind of stomach flu. Just the kind where I have stomach cramps and can't eat anything because it hurts too much. It really puts a damper on school life. I've been hibernating for 3 days now. Not good. I hope I don't flunk any classes because of it. I'm sure I won't. My teachers are too nice for that. :)

Moving

So, it seems I will be moving at the end of August. That is when I will be done with school. Since no one wants to hire me for just a year, it am moving home. Yup, a 30 year old moving back in with the parents. It will be for just one year. I am graduating at an odd time so I have some slack before grad school next year. I hope my parents still like me after the year is up. :) It will be nice to be around the neices and nephew for a while, though. Who knows where I will end up for grad school. By the way, I am getting a new neice or nephew in January. I love this auntie thing!

Hayden's Blessing

Hayden was blessed today. He was born May 5. I wasn't able to go for a number of reasons....gas prices, too short of a weekend, had to work on Saturday, yada, yada, yada. Mom sent me some pictures. Not quite like being there, though. It's so hard to be this far away! Here are some pictures of the event, though. It's about time that a boy was added to the gaggle of neices that I have!
