Graduation

Even though I finished my master's degree in December of 11, I didn't walk for graduation until May 2012.  It was difficult for me to really enjoy, though, because I knew I had lots of school left.  My reason for doing it?  My mommy told me to.  And I pretty much do what my mommy asks.  My dad's sister Susan was able to come for it.  She has been super supportive of me and my education.  We were able to go to lunch with my Adviser, Ann Austin.  I didn't get any pictures of all of us together, though.  I didn't even get one with my mommy.  But, I still have one more graduation to go.  Cousins from Lehi came up, too, to support me, including Nate, Trish, Ashley, and Bryce.

Me before the ceremony.  I hated the hood (the thing around my neck).  I hate anything around my neck.

Showing of the hood.  The color is for the College of Education.

Me with Aunt Susan

This is on the large screen in the Spectrum.  I guess I paused in front of the camera, even though I didn't realize it.  My friend Wade Stewart is right behind me.

Shaking hands with some of the leaders of the university.

Family Oldies

I had insomnia the other night and decided to look through some old photos.  I often forget some of the treasures that I have.  I decided to post some on the blog so I can have an electronic copy of them.

This is a four generation picture of my mom, her mom, and HER mom.  It's Geraldine, Nellie May Mayes, Nellie Haggen, and I am the adorable baby.

I remember this picture being taken.  I was super excited to hold Bryan.  I think this was the day that he came home.  I love the retro drapes, chair, and clothes.

My dad and me on his graduation day.  He graduated a few months after I was born.

Yet another retro chair and some awesome drapes.
Me and Erik.

This picture totally cracks me up because of all the faces of the boys.  The family pictures were taken very late, and I think we were just trying to stay awake.  Obviously Kirk didn't succeed.

My grandmother.  I think this was taken about the time she served her mission to the northern states.  I love her hair.  I missed the Haggen gene for thick hair.

This was taken a few weeks before my grandpa passed.

Part of the late-night pictures.  I was trying really hard to hide Kirk's binky.  Kirk didn't want to settle down for the pictures.

My mom on her graduation day (from BYU)

This is one of our family favorites.  Our neighbors flooded their garden and it ran into our back yard.  I found the boys taking a mud bath, and I decided to join them.  I do remember only putting mud on my face and arms, which were easy to clean.  The wash-off with the hose was freezing!

Another retro couch.  I remember this couch.

The W's-April 2012

The W's are a great bunch of kiddos.  They always seem to be happy and they are VERY entertaining.  They love to sing and dance and keep us laughing.  Here are some pictures of them from April 2012.

Weston playing with some toys.

Wilson being his handsome self.  (I love that Whit is posing in the background.)

The boys wrestling.

Whit and Wils dancing on Dad's work truck.

I LOVE this picture of them.

Easter 2012

I was able to go home for Easter.  Everyone was able to be there, including Bryan's family.  It's not often that we all get to be together.

Whitney being her cute self.

Hayden . . . .such a cute smile.

Wilson jumping rope.

Erik dancing around with the kiddos (Hannah, Hayden, Whitney).

Mike playing around with Hayden.

Bryan trying to get Chelsey in on the wrestling.  Wilson trying to help out.

Hannah and Whitney reading together.  They love being with each other and play so well.

Grandma listening and Hannah reads to her.

Heidi trying to satisfy her chomping needs.  Such cute cheeks!

Chelsey relaxing.

Spring Break 2012

Going home is always something I look forward to because I get to spend time with my cute niblings.  And they are ADORABLE!  They can always make me smile, no matter my mood.  Some of the things that come out of their mouths are priceless.  It's even better when they get together.  Their goofiness comes out in spades.  They play so well when they are together (unless there is time).  Here are some pictures of the time I was able to spend with them during that break.

Wilson, Sariah, Bekah, and Whitney.

Wilson, Sariah, Ethan, Bekah, and Whitney all being them goofy selves.

Weston playing with his daddy.  He is so much fun...once he warms up, he loves to laugh with you.

Wilson and Bekah riding the Shawnee-horse.

Bekah Boo and her space where a tooth used to be (plus a little lunch on her face).

Sariah taking advantage of some tickle time.

The kiddos raking up some of the leaves from the fall.  Bekah, Whitney, Sariah, and Wils.  I think their goal was to just get a pile big enough to jump in, not really to help Grandma out.  (Who wouldn't have the same goal when lots of leaves are available?)

Whitney being a bit of a cheeser.
